Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
